What to expect
After you reach out, here's our typical process:
- Initial response: We acknowledge your inquiry within 24 hours and ask any clarifying questions.
- Consultation call: For journey bookings, we schedule a 30-minute call to discuss your creative work, current challenges, and which format might align best.
- Journey details: We send detailed itinerary information, departure dates, and booking procedures.
- Pre-journey prep: About three weeks before departure, we have a final call to address logistics and calibrate expectations.
Team and custom arrangements
We occasionally design custom journeys for creative teams or agencies working through specific challenges. These typically require 6-12 weeks of advance planning. Reach out with your team size, timeline, and what you're hoping to accomplish.
Frequently asked questions
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations more than 60 days before departure receive full refunds minus a 150 CAD processing fee. Cancellations 30-60 days out receive 50% refunds. Within 30 days, no refunds are available. We recommend travel insurance.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes. We work with local providers to accommodate most dietary needs. Let us know during the consultation call.
What fitness level is required?
This varies by journey. Remote Immersion and Alpine Studio involve daily hiking at moderate intensity. Urban Depth requires walking 8-12 kilometers daily. We provide detailed physical requirements for each format.
Are journeys available year-round?
Some formats are seasonal. Arctic Observation runs winter and summer only. Desert Clarity avoids July-August extreme heat. Remote Immersion is limited to June-September when highland roads are accessible.
Can I extend my journey independently?
Absolutely. Many participants add time before or after. We can recommend extensions that complement the journey's focus.
What about wifi and connectivity?
This varies intentionally. Remote Immersion has no connectivity by design. Alpine Studio includes afternoon wifi for working sessions. Urban Depth has full connectivity. We're explicit about this in itinerary details.
